Honeywell Home R200C-1 is a carbon monoxide alarm designed to improve safety in residential premises. Carbon monoxide, also known as CO, is especially dangerous because it cannot be seen, smelled or tasted. For this reason, rooms with gas water heaters, gas boilers, stoves, fireplaces or other fuel-burning appliances should be equipped with a working CO alarm.
The R200C-1 uses an electrochemical sensor to detect carbon monoxide. When a dangerous CO concentration is present, the device gives a loud audible alarm. The alarm operates independently and does not require connection to the mains power supply.
Honeywell Home R200C-1 is fitted with a sealed long-life 3V lithium battery for the lifetime of the product. Battery replacement is not required. The device has a lifetime of up to 10 years, and warranty applies according to the manufacturer’s terms.
The alarm can be mounted on a wall or ceiling according to the manufacturer’s instructions. R200C-1 is suitable for indoor use only. Although the device has an IP44 rating, it is not water resistant and must not be installed where moisture, steam, ventilation or strong airflow may interfere with its operation.
